Addiction

So I was driving home the other day and I saw a billboard advertising porn addiction. It made me think about addiction. Anything can be an addiction. It is something that you don't need but want and want a lot of it. Like chocolate you don't need it but you want it. every so often it's ok to have it but wanting it all the time isn't ok. There are some many things that we can be a addicted to, it's how we deal with the addiction that makes a difference. Food and drinks can be one of those addictions. We do need food and water to live but over doing it will cause problems. Having a healthy way of doing things is great. I know that i'm not great at doing these things and i'm trying to work on them.
I feel that there is a healthy addiction to like reading the scriptures, going to the temple, and church. I may not be great at these to but i'm human and i'm working on these for my self and not anyone else.
I know there are so many things out there that can hurt us or keep us from doing what we need to do. If we strive to do the things that we are suppose to do. We will over come our problems and get to where we need to be. Thanks for listening to me go of on stuff. I just felt that I need to say something. have a great day :)

Holiday stress

So the last little while has been crazy. With having a new born and the holiday's with two kids it's been hard. We put our house up for sale, so trying to keep the house clean just in case someone wants to see it at the last moment. Just hasn't been easy to do. I've been trying to get to a point were I can exercise. I'm not going to wake up early to do it when I get up so many times in the middle of the night and by the time dinner comes around I haven't been able to do anything cause I've been busy dealing with kids all day and doing things everyone else wants me to do. I love helping people don't get me wrong on that. I just don't feel like I've been getting the help I need. Brian has been working overtime and I understand why. Just when he comes home he doesn't want to deal with anything or anyone. So i'm still the one doing everything. I'm trying to keep a positive attitude about everything but I feel like i'm almost to breaking point that if something doesn't change i'm going to go insane. Here's to hoping i don't go insane.

Emma's Second Birthday

Emma has now turned 2. I can't believe it. My baby is 2 (well i guess she isn't a baby any more). Emma had so much fun at her party. She got some dress up clothes, her and alanis had to play dress up that minute. It was so much fun seeing them play. Emma has been doing really well about peeing on the toilet (now if only we could get here to poop on it). Channing had her two month check up today and she is 10 lbs. 5oz. Channing has gotten so big in the last couple of months. so for the rest of this last month it's been crazy. My mom broke her ankle and wrist both on the right side to. so with that being said I was the one to do thanksgiving and i do have to say that it turned out nice. Sense then I've just been relaxing sense the Christmas shopping is done. Brian is now doing over time cause the guy that works the first part of the week his wife had their baby. so the girls and i will be spending a lot of time in Payson helping my mom (sense she immobile). well with that being said here are some pics of Emma's birthday.

Channing is now 6 weeks old and we are loving every minute. Emma is such a big help and that is all she want to do and it's great. Emma will be turning 2 this month. I can't believe that my baby is two. Brian has been working hard with WFG. Their office just moved up to thanksgiving point. So with that being said we put our house up for sale and are looking for one closer to work. I hope all goes well. Me i'm just having fun being a mom and staying home with the girls. Don't get me wrong it's hard but i wouldn't change it for the world. well that is all for now have a great one.

Channing is here!!!!!

Channing Marie Child is here. she was born September 28th 2010, @ 4:31 pm, weighed 5 lbs. 12 oz, and was 18 inches long. We were induced because I had gestational diabetes and we thought she was going to be a big baby but out comes this little girl. My parents took Emma for day. when they came to the hospital that night to drop her off to Brian she didn't know what was going on. she wouldn't even come to me, it made my cry. all day all I wanted was Emma to be with me but I knew it was better that she wasn't. The next day when Brian and Emma came all she wanted to do is be with me and hold Channing. Sense then Emma has done nothing but want to help with sister and hold her as much as we would let her. Adjusting to things has been a little crazy. I'm not sure what i'm going to do when Brian goes back to work but I guess sooner or later I'm going to have to figure it out. Well here's to hoping everything goes ok.

Is it time yet?

Ok so the last few days I've been really wanting Channing to come. I know she still has time but man it's getting harder to deal with Emma when I feel so big, that and my patience is just growing thin with Emma wanting to run all over the place and needed me almost every second of the day. well that and now my mom is calling every day to see if we have gone to the hospital. This is her third grandchild so you would think she would be so excited for this one to come. Know that that is off my chest. Ive been working on some sewing projects just to pass time (that is when I have it). Cause I finally have my own machine to do stuff with and it's been nice, I don't want to stop doing my projects but again Emma needs me and that's ok cause I've been really wanting to make sure that she gets her time with me cause when Channing comes I don't want her to feel like i'm not there. well that is what been going on here. Hopefully Channing will decide to come (soon I hope) but when ever she gets here will be good. Here are some picutres of my first finished project.

Man it's been a long time

I know I don't get on and blog a lot. I just have other things to do. I don't know who reads this or if anyone looks at my blog but sense I'm not good at keeping a journal this will just have to do. Sense the last time I posted anything a lot has happened. To start with at the end of July my cousin died in a car accident (if you watch the news the high school boy from springville). He was a great young man who believed on helping people and that is why he wanted to donate his organs. I have heard that 50 to 60 (some were around there) people now have a chance to live because of him. most of them from Utah. One that I have heard was of an infant that needed a liver or kidney. she happened to be in my aunts sisters ward up north. When they had found out that this baby needed something they had asked for them to see if he was a match for the baby. He was and now because of him this infant gets a chance at life. It's people like my cousin that make me feel so happy to be apart of this crazy world we live in.

well now on to other things. we went to Bear Lake for a family reunion. It was so much fun even tho there was some drama but we got over it. Being up there was so peaceful and relaxing. I love places like that cause it gives me time to think about life and things. I have seen beautiful places that I can't compare them to each other. They are so different in there own way and yet so amazing. Just seeing these wonderful sites makes me so grateful for what I have and that I get a chance to see them. Well that was the beginning of August. As for the rest of it we spent it getting ready for baby Channing to come. Yes she doesn't come til the end of this month but I wanted this month to be as relaxing as possible. So on that note we are pretty much ready for her to come. I am trying to redo Emma's room. I want to make it more of a toddler room. I had my cousin AJ come down and help with getting started and I can't wait til it's done. Oh at the end of August our new car got hit by some branches that fell from own tree and got a pretty big dent in it. I have never liked those dumb trees to began with.

Now on to the start of September. ON labor day we went to Park City with my brothers Leland and Jason. We had a lot of fun buying things for Emma. I was glad to find an a matching outfit for the girls so that we can have pictures done. There were a lot of people cause of the holiday but that didn't bother us. In the afternoon we spent it at my parents house just hanging out. While we were there it made me think about the following year cause it was when Emma took her first step with out help. Now she is almost two running around like crazy and about to be a big sister. As for me I am 36 weeks along. I'm ready for her to come so that I can meet her and be able to do things faster than what I now. Now quick update on Brian. He is working at I M flash and WFG (part time). Emma loves playing with him and I think he really enjoys the fact that she is a daddy's girl. Well that is it for now cause I don't have anything more to say and it's getting late. If you do read this blog I hope you enjoyed it. Good night.

June/part july

Oh my goodness this month has been so busy that i'm so ready for a vacation. let see it started with Brian and his softball to his appointments with WFG. Working on getting the hole in the bathroom fixed (which took longer than we thought it would). ending with Emma and I getting colds on the 4th of July. On July 6th I had a doctors appointment and I came to realize that I only have under three months to get the house ready for Channing. Not only that Leland comes home this month from his mission, which is crazy to believe. That means Emma will be two this year, I can't believe she will be two. sometimes she seems so much older than that cause how smart she is. She's getting so big (well so am I for other reasons). We finally put my car up for sell and have someone coming to look at it later. I hope it will all work out cause we need a bigger car with our growing family. Well that's all for now til next time later.

Thanksgiving Point

We went to Thanksgiving Point. The Boys and Naty went and played golf while we took the kids and went to the farm and dinosaur museum. The girls had alot of fun looking and petting the animals. The museum was fun to look at all the dinosaurs that they have. They had a spot were you can play in sand and water. Alanis loved, Emma not so much. But by the end of the day they had some much fun they just passed out.

Alanis' Birthday

Alanis's First Birthday. After we had cake and ice cream we went to the park near by they had some much fun.

Baby Channing

This is Channing Marie. Right now she is 23 weeks old and is moving all over the place. She will be here sometime around October 3rd. I'm hoping she will come early.

Boise Trip

We went to Boise to see some friends. This was the first time that we spent more than two days there and were able to see more of Boise. While we were up there we ate a lot of food. There is a place called big jud's that Brian ate there pound burger. Just looking at that thing made me sick.
While we were up there Brian had his birthday and went out golfing for it. We went to this little town in the mountains, all the house looked the same it was kind of creepy. All in all it was a fun trip.Look at how big that thing is.

Top: half way done. Bottom: last bite.

Top: almost done with the tots. Bottom: three left.

Hello

So I haven't gotten on here in quite some time. Well sense the last time we have found out that we are pregnant with a girl. Her name will be Channing Marie Child. I have been called to be a nursery leader. Emma is now 18 months old and can talk your ear off. She is a very smart little girl. Emma keeps us running around all over the place and we are having fun doing it. Emma loves to cook, clean and just help out with whatever mommy and daddy are doing. We have been working on the backyard work so we can play back there for the summer and have gotten a pool to stay cool. We went on a trip in April to Boise to visit some friends and had lots of fun. It was nice to get away for a bit.

Relief Society on Sunday

On Sunday in Relief Society we talked about testimony and how to bear a testimony. This story was told at the beginning,

President Boyd K. Packer, Acting President of the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles, shared the following insight:

“I had an experience in the mission field that taught me much about testimony. In spite of the fact that all seemed to be under control, we were not progressing as we should. It was not something we were doing that we ought not to do so much, I felt, as something we were not doing that we ought to be doing.

“We held a series of zone conferences to improve the spirituality in the mission. Rather than schedule instruction on the mechanics of missionary work, we determined to have a testimony meeting. In the last conference, in the testimony of one of the humble elders, I found the answer to the problem. There was something different about the brief testimony of this frightened new elder. He stood for less than a minute, yet I learned from his expression what it was that was missing.

“The testimonies we’d heard from all the other missionaries went something like this: ‘I’m grateful to be in the mission field. I’ve learned a lot from it. I have a fine companion. I’ve learned a lot from him. I’m grateful for my parents. We had an interesting experience last week. We were out knocking on doors and …’ Then the missionary would relate an experience. His conclusion would be something like this: ‘I’m grateful to be in the mission field. I have a testimony of the gospel.’ And he would conclude ‘in the name of Jesus Christ. Amen.’

“This young elder was different somehow. Anxious not to spend an extra second on his feet, he said simply, in hurried, frightened words, ‘I know that God lives. I know that Jesus is the Christ. I know that we have a prophet of God leading the Church. In the name of Jesus Christ. Amen.’

“This was a testimony. It was not just an experience nor an expression of gratitude. It was a declaration, a witness!

“Most of the elders had said ‘I have a testimony,’ but they had not declared it. This young elder had, in a very few words, delivered his testimony—direct, basic, and, as it turned out, powerful.

"Other quotes from the meeting were " Our testimony meetings need to be more centered on the savior, the doctrines of the gospel, the blessings of the Restoration, and the teachings of the scriptures. We need to replace stories, travelogues, and lectures with pure testimonies." Elder Ballard, "Pure Testimony," Ensign, Nov. 2004

"Because a testimony is personal, testimony bearing often begins with the pronoun I. A testimony can be identified by the use of powerful verbs such as know, testify, or bear witness. Generally speaking, a testimony is short, precise, and concise." Elder Jensen, "Bearing Testimony," Ensign, Oct. 2005

"A testimony of the restored gospel of Jesus Christ will always include these clear and simple truths: (Heavenly Father & Jesus Christ, Joseph Smith, the Book of Mormon, the Restoration, and the current prophet)". President Uchtdorf, The Power of a Personal Testimony," Ensign, Nov. 2006

"It is not unusual to have (someone) say, "how can I bear testimony until I get one? A testimony is to be found in the bearing of it... the spirit (will) confirm to you in your bosom that what you have testified is true." Elder Packer, "the Candle of the lord," Ensign, Jan. 1983

I know this church is true. I know that Joseph Smith is a True Prophet. I know that if you follow the words of the Prophet we can do anything. I know that with the Plan of Salvation we will be able to return to Heavenly Father & Jesus Christ. I know that Heavenly Father loves and knows everyone. I know that the Book of Mormon is true. I know that if we do these things we will find Happiness and peace. I love you all and wanted you to know this.
