Christmas time and the new year.

I know that Christmas has come and gone but I still have this to say about this time of the year. At the beginning of December we put up the tree at my parents house. It wasn't until the week before Christmas that it got decorated and before that happened it didn't quit feel like Christmas. The day that it was decorated we turned on the lights and I sat there looking at and feeling like the season had just began. The holiday season (for me) is the best time of the year. Not because of the presents or the insane amount of food that we eat, but because of the meaning of it. Christ was born on Christmas. For me it's a time to reflect on everything. I love how the air just seems to beam with miracles and the feeling like anything can happen.

Now that the new year has come, it's time to try and reach the goals that we have set for us. My goals this year are going to be simple. Things that I know I can do, cause lets be honest if they aren't simple we would never achieve them. So my goals are 1. that I will serve more people 2. that I will play with my kids and have the best time doing 3. that I will spend time with just my husband and kids no every once in a while 4. That I will take better care of myself 5. that I will be there for my friends and family when needed (but not over do it) 6. That I will do everything in my power to take care of my family 7. That I will try hard to work at my calling 8. that no matter what happens I will be happy and look at the positive out come in life. I know that looking at this it seems like a lot of things, but they are small and I know that I can do it. It might not be easy with kids but I will do it. Have a great new year.
